Privacy policy

Effective October 8, 2026

Don't Get Swept is run by Par72 Labs, LLC ("we"). Short version: we use your address and your phone number or email to send street sweeping reminders, and that's it.

What we collect

• Your address and its map location, so we can find your sweeping section. We only save an address if it lands in a City sweeping section.
• Your phone number and/or email, and a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to, when, a one-way hash of your IP address, and your browser's user-agent).
• Messages we send you and texts you send us (like YES, STOP, or a new address), so the service works and we can prove opt-ins and opt-outs.
• Addresses we couldn't match, logged without your contact info, so we can fix gaps.

We don't use ad trackers or sell anything. Bot protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.

How we use it

• Send the reminders you asked for (text and/or email) for your address.
• Confirm your signup and handle your replies, like YES, STOP, HELP, 1, or 2.
• Match your address to a City sweeping section and suggest corrections.
• Keep records of consent and opt-outs to comply with messaging rules.
• Prevent abuse and spam signups (rate limits, Cloudflare Turnstile).
• Fix address-matching gaps.

We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it.

Who we share it with

Cloudflare (hosting, database, bot checks), Telnyx (sending texts), Resend (sending email), and Stripe (tips; we never see your card). Address lookups go to the City of Chicago's and the U.S. Census Bureau's public geocoders. They process data only to provide those services.

How it's shared. We share only the minimum each provider needs to do its job: your phone number and message text go to Telnyx to send texts; your email address and message go to Resend to send email; your typed address goes to the City of Chicago or U.S. Census geocoder to find its location; tip payments go directly to Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Cloudflare hosts the site and database and runs the Turnstile bot check. Data is sent to these providers automatically through their secure APIs over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. We may also disclose information if required by law, such as a valid subpoena, or to protect the service from abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone except the providers above, solely to deliver your messages.

How we protect it

All traffic to and from the site is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS). Your data is stored in Cloudflare's database, which is encrypted at rest, and access is limited to the service itself and the account owner. Your consent record keeps a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived request logs, including IP address, for up to 7 days for security and debugging, then deletes them. Unsubscribe and address-change links are cryptographically signed so they can't be guessed. Service credentials are kept as encrypted secrets, never in code. We collect only what's needed to send reminders. No method is 100% secure, but if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we'll notify you as required by law.

Your choices

• Texts: reply STOP to stop, HELP for help, START to come back.
• Email: click unsubscribe in any reminder (one click, no login).
• To delete your data, email hello@dontgetswept.com. We keep a minimal opt-out record (your number or email and the date) so we never message you again by mistake.

Retention

Active signups are kept while you're subscribed. Stopped signups and message logs are deleted within 18 months, except opt-out records.

Kids

Not for children under 13.
